To log into BKSB click on the banner below and enter your username and password.
(You should have been given these during Induction) –  but if you’ve forgotten then please contact –  Sarah Ball.

Once logged in you will see the welcome page with your learning dashboard

Click on view courses under the FOCUS Functional Skills tab which will then show Functional Skills Maths and English.

The first step for each of these is to take the Initial Assessment. This should have been done when you first started at TTE, in which case you can progress to the Diagnostic. If not then the Initial Assessment will need to be done so just click on continue.

Work your way through the questions and at the end it will show you what level you are currently working to i.e. E3, E2, E1, L1 or L2.

Once the Initial Assessment has been done it will say what to do next i.e. “Take the Maths Level 1 Diagnostic”. Click on the link and answer all questions. At the end it will give you a percentage and show you a page with:
•  Topics I am good at…….
•  Topic I need to take care in…….
•  Topics I need to practice…….

Following the diagnostic it will then give you links to learning resources for the topics that you need to practice. All these exercises will involve you reading and then answering the practice questions. It will automatically show you if the questions are right or wrong.

Once you have worked your way through the resources and the subject box has a tick to show it’s completed, you then retake the Initial Assessment where your result should show that you are now working at a higher level.
